Geometry

Where performance begins

Your ideal bicycle doesn't exist in any catalogue. It's drawn for you, from scratch, based on how you move.

Stage 01

Your position

Custom geometry at Oxia Cycles starts with a bike fitting. Your position on the bicycle is the first decision. Before the tube, the colour or the component, there's your body: your measurements, your joints, how you'll use the bike.

A custom geometry is born from analysing all of that. It isn't a size chart. It's a unique drawing, designed so the bike disappears beneath your body and only the path remains.

Stage 02

The five points

Building an Oxia frame follows a very well-defined scheme. Every pivot point, every angle, every muscle involved in the rider's position is measured and studied.

Diagram of the five key points of the rider on the bicycle
01
Foot contact
The circular motion of the foot on the pedal is the basis of efficiency. There must be perfect contact between the two.
02
The hips and the drive
The position of the hips on the saddle generates the driving force. Here the right muscles are activated to achieve maximum efficiency in every pedal stroke.
03
Stability and back line
Stable hips and a good back line make pedalling more balanced, safer, more efficient.
04
Shoulders, elbows and hands
An optimal angle prevents unnecessary loads on the handlebars. Comfort and handling, without compromising either.
05
Weight distribution
The balance between the three contact points — pedals, saddle, handlebars — is essential. That is where control is born.
Oxia
An efficient activation of the right muscles. That's what makes the difference between a bike that works and a bike that flies.
Stage 04

A single bicycle

You won't have a custom bicycle. You'll have the best bicycle you could possibly have.

Because the measurements are just the beginning. What matters is that, when you head out to ride, the bike disappears beneath you. That every movement translates into forward motion. That every kilometre gives you back the reason you started pedalling.

Your next project
